Gavin's First Tball Practice

Gavin had his first Tball practice tonight. They did
a little warm up, played catch and then took turns
batting and fielding. He did a great job for his first
time out. He's very excited to start the season and
play in the "stadium." He keeps asking what the
stadium is going to look like. They don't have a team
name yet, but their uniforms will be green. So far,
his choice for a team name is the Lizards. We'll see
how that goes over. After the practice we decided
there are a few things he has to work on. First, when
your teammate is at bat, swings and misses the ball,
you don't yell "we want a batter, not a broken ladder!"
Second, you're all on the same team, there is no need to
tackle each other to get the ball. And third, it's just
practice right now, you don't have to chase the kids
down to tag them out EVERY time you field the ball.
Minor adjustments we'll have to make!
Here are some pictures from the practice.

Playing the outfield....

Fielding some balls....

And now the part he's been waiting for....
